The ocean is predicted to play a key role in addressing climate challenges. Utilizing the ocean for food production, renewable energy, transportation, and carbon storage serves as a crucial step towards addressing global climate challenges. Merely two percent of our food resources are derived from the sea. Exploring and taking advantage of the potential and opportunities in the ocean is crucial for the future.

Sustainability and competition
The program is held at Trondheim Spektrum’s exhibition area. This year’s two topics deal with sustainable fishing and conflicts over areas at sea.

Digre believes that the themes “Green transition in fisheries” and “Competition in areas at sea” will engage and help shed light on relevant issues.
