The exhibitors at this year’s exhibition showcase the wide range of innovative solutions, products and services available to the fishing industry.
We have spoken to five exhibitors who, in their own way, contribute to a more efficient, safe and sustainable future for the fishing industry.
Montebello Diagnostics: Food safety and hygiene control
Montebello Diagnostics, represented on the stand by Anne Steffensen and Pernille Storm Weum, offers microbiological tests to ensure food safety in the fisheries industry.
“Our solutions make it easier for companies to carry out their own analyzes for, among other things, salmonella and listeria, which helps to maintain high quality of fish and seafood. It’s the first time we’ve been to Nor-Fishing, and it’s really been a success” says Pernille.
“We have had many curious visitors who have shown great interest in our products. It is useful and nice to see that food safety and hygiene control are just as interesting to fishermen as new tools and technology.”
Marport Norway: Catch control and precision fishing
Gunnar Grimsås and his team at Marport Norge supply advanced sensors that give fishermen accurate information about the catch and the conditions during fishing.
“With technology that measures everything from the depth of the trawl to the number of fish in the bag, our sensors help fishermen to optimize their catch without overfishing,” says Gunnar.
“Nor-Fishing is an important meeting point, where you both meet old acquaintances and make new contacts.”
Lederne: Support and security for middle managers
As the only trade union at this year’s exhibition, Lederne, represented by Anette Light and Audun Arne Ingvartsen, has distinguished itself as an important resource for middle managers in the fisheries industry.
“We offer legal support, help with salary negotiations, and are a sparring partner for managers and middle managers in the industry. The response has been exclusively positive from visitors, and we have met both current and potentially new members,” says Anette enthusiastically.
“Our presence at Nor-Fishing is important to get close to the fishermen and be visible. The aim is to build bridges, show that there are supporters you can lean on, and maybe get some new members.”
Ditech: Oil and filter systems for safer ship operation
Ditech, led by Johannes Solsvik, supplies advanced filter systems that ensure that oil and diesel on board are always clean and free of unwanted particles.
“Filtration can be critical to avoid breakdowns and to ensure efficient operation. Our product Green Oil continuously cleans lubricating oil and has become a popular choice among shipping companies. The trade fair experience has been very positive, and we are experiencing great interest in our solutions – even though the weather has not been entirely on our side,” says Johannes with a smile.
Norsap: Comfort and ergonomics for captains
Norsap from Kristiansand, with Kent Beresford as sales manager, is known for its captain’s chairs that combine comfort and functionality. Their newest damping chair, launched last year, has already become a favorite among Norwegian fishermen.
“With possibilities for individual adaptation, these chairs ensure that captains can carry out their work tasks as comfortably as possible, even on long shifts,” he explains, showing off their most advanced model that can be rotated 360 degrees and used both standing and sitting.
Beresford is very satisfied with this year’s exhibition, which he describes as one of the best for Norsap ever and looks forward to participating again in 2026.
